Doctor Pinzgauer By Anne Heisler, www.ramseywinch.de

Who knows what a Pinzgauer is? Right, an exotic vehicle made in Europe. Our doctors' Pinzgauer is a rolling, 6x6 drive, Emergency Room. No, none of our doctors are gypsies. Both Sebastian Edtinger and Clemens Novak live in houses made of solid stone, in the middle of Europe, in Austria.

They work in hospitals. The Pinzgauer ER is just for fun. Fun for other people, like off road freaks that take their vehicles to far, remote places like the Ukraine or Croatia! Why? Off road driving in Europe is very restricted. There are only a few places where it is allowed. These regions are a bit out of reach of hospitals.

That is why a motor sport event, an off road race, like a rally or trophy, should be accompanied by a doctor. And the doctor and his vehicle should be able to follow the contestants wherever they go! Ideally, the doctor should be an off roader. Just as Clemens, who likes driving and, Sebastian who is a skilled navigator.

Of course, the Pinzgauer is able to climb the hills like any other trophy vehicle. And if it gets stuck, the doctors simply unreel the cable of their Ramsey Winch. It is a DC200, and it is also used for assisting the trophy tow truck-but that is another story!

Do you have an interesting story to tell which involves your Ramsey Winch? Let us know. Contact Lisa Holden at lisaholden@ramsey.com or 918-234-2138. Photos need to be included with your story, but they don't need to be action shots. They can be of your vehicle in your driveway. (of course we would like your Ramsey Winch in the pic.)
